New job and new store

I got a part-time job at my gym! Just 8 hours a week adn the pay is crappy but my membership is free. I keep toying with the idea of getting my ACE certification and training some but there are pros and cons and I'm having a hard time deciding. I figure being in the gym environment on the business side of things may help me make the decision. I just don't know if I'd want to be a trainer without the actual 4 year degree in it instead of just the certification...but then again, some of the best trainers I know of don't have 4 year degrees...hmmmm

Neil and I went and joined costco today. We were there wondering around for 2.5 hours. I got 4 lbs of Organic green beans for $4.99. WOW - that was pure excitement...I know, sad isn't it- that is what excites me...

Sunshine!

I'm not very good at keeping up my blog...oh well...

I'm still training hard! Got my 1500 calories of cardio in last week and boy did I have variety. This has been fun!
I ran, went to cardio kickboxing class, did some HIIT running, then did a Hip Hop class (wow, I would not want many people to see me do that - not one my talents!!), and did the elliptical machine. I think it is really good for me and my body to be switching it up so much like this. I'm feeling all new muscles and working on my coordination.

Went out to eat with the hubby tonight. Had a salad that was wonderful and not to far off plan except for some gouda cheese and blueberries on it...then the waitress comes and INSISTS we have a free desert because we sat at the table by the door and didn't complain...ugh. What to do... ugh....

I caved but my hubby prevented it from being a big cave. I would have just ordered the brownie with ice cream - if you're gonna cheat, cheat big. That has been my motto. But Neil suggested we try the rice pudding, a much smaller dessert...probably a good idea. So, rice pudding it was and it was just fine.

Then we went the the adorable little cheap theater by our house (still has original 1960s everything - chairs, lamps, carpet) and we saw 'Little Miss Sunshine'. GREAT movie. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Maybe I laughed off all the extra calories...oh how I hope!
